LOCATION: POWELL RIVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Camper & Nicholsons is a British company that was in business from 1782-2005, and are known for producing extremely high quality yachts, famous around the world for their durability and longevity.  The fourth generation of Nicholsons introduced GRP construction, which led to the Camper & Nicholsons 32 with 389 built between 1963 to 1981.

Probably more thought was given to the design of the 32 by Peter Nicholson than any previous sailing boat. The design parameters were good weatherly sailing performance, moderate size, safe and easy handling, high quality but easily built and, not least, good value.  The all GRP concept was the result - hull, deck, superstructure, toilet module and any other components all bonded together, including interior ballast, forming a strong homogenous structure.

This C&N 32 is a Mark VI from 1968 and is offered today in excellent condition and extremely well equipped for long distance cruising or blue water adventures.  Extensive work has been done, and most onboard gear has been replaced since 2000.  Some highlights include wind vane self-steering, autopilot, GPS chartplotters, radar, VHF & HF radio, great sailing inventory including spinnaker and pole, electric windlass with plenty of ground tackle options, refrigeration, heating, solar, wind generator and inverter, plus much, much more.

It is rigged as a mast head sloop but with a removable inner forestay, which gives all the advantages of a cutter rig when needed.  Indeed it is a proven offshore boat which heaves-to easily and sails well.  If you are in the market for a safe, capable, blue water boat on a budget, this is the one for you!
