The Alberg was considered a boat-show “dream-boat” by Canadian sailors in the boat market. At the time, the Alberg 37 was coveted for its graceful silhouette.A good part of the 37’s strong reputation comes from its strengths as an ocean-crossing vessel. We have all dreamed about sailing across the ocean in an Alberg.  Well…here is the place to start.  Sailing does not get much more romantic than this.

Carl Alberg built this 37-foot vessel for extensive ocean cruising. At 37’2″ LOA and a displacement of 16,800 pounds, the Alberg 37 has the feel of an oceangoing yacht with wide side decks leading to the bow. Below, you get the impression of a larger boat due to ambient light and breeze from several ports and two overhead hatches. Teak bulkheads match the teak-and-holly sole.  The Whitby Boat Works in Canada built Alberg 37s, sloops and yawls, in Mark I and Mark II versions between 1967 and 1988, a testimony to the longevity of a classic design.

Ready for world cruising!  Completely outfitted for offshore passages and ready for long term cruising.  An extensive list of the cruising upgrades is provided.
