INCREDIBLE TRUE WORLD CRUISER - center cockpit, cutter rigged steel ketch fully equipped and ready to sail the world.

Custom built in Brittany, France and being designed for arctic cruising her double chin hull is 4-6mm thick, with a 25mm cap at the bow making her an incredibly safe vessel in all conditions.  She has been well maintained, constantly upgraded, and is being sold as a complete package.

Almost all systems have been replaced since her purchase in 1997, with over $500k USD invested into her over the years.  Some of her recent upgrades: she was repowered with a new Yanmar in 2012 ($30,000 USD), new standing rigging in 2016 ($20,000 USD), had her brightwork re-done, decks repainted with new non-skip and a new stainless steel prop shaft in 2017 ($70,000 USD), and has a new custom 3 part full boat cover ($8,000 USD).

With recently upgraded electronics, a Cape Horn self steering system, watermaker, solar and wind power generation, a full workshop, inflatable dinghy and outboard, spinnaker, and slide out bar – this vessel is ready to take you to the ends of the earth in safety.  Plus features like an Isotherm smart fridge that only draws 0.8 - 2amps, LED lights throughout, SSB radio, and BlueSea Battery Monitor, she offers high tech amenities that any offshore sailor will appreciate.

The seller is forced to sell for health reasons and is not selling to try and make money – “This boat was about memories – without it, it would’ve been a dull life”.

Get in touch today before this wonderful opportunity sails away without you.

Interior Description

The interior of the hull was galvanized then painted with 3 coats of epoxy paint, and has 6” of foam insulation throughout, keeping the cold out in arctic climates and keeping the boat cool in tropical ones.  The interior is finished handsomely in cherry, teak and mahogany by skilled French carpenters.  LED lights and marine fans throughout keep the space well lit and comfortable.

The dinette table has fold-out leaf, expanding the table and allowing comfortable dining for up to 7.  The dinette also drops down and converts into double berth.  The Dickinson gravity fed diesel heater keeps the space warm and toasty in colder climates, while the kerosene lanterns provide warm lighting while saving power.  A slide out bar ensures guests will enjoy their time aboard.

A huge chart table has space for full paper charts to be studied without folding, with all electronic navigation and communication systems organized thoughtfully and within reach from the nav station.

The head features a sink and vanity with pull out shower faucet, and a marine head connected to an Electroscan USCG Type 1 marine sanitation device eliminates the need for a holding tank.  Ceramic resistors convert excess power from wind generator to heat, dehumidifying and warming the space.

Forward there is a single bunk on starboard and a 1.5 berth on port, both with lee clothes.  Mesh venting material under the mattresses allows air to circulate, and prevents condensation from forming in tropical climates.  Deep lockers under both berths, a hanging locker, and cupboards overhead with sliding doors give plenty of storage.

Further forward is a full workshop, with bench mounted vice, hand and power tools, hardware, filters and spares engine parts – everything needed to be self sufficient while away from port comes with the boat.

The galley has plenty of storage throughout, with a double sink, and a SS Force 10 propane two burner stove and oven.  An electric exhaust fan helps vent heat and cooking smells.

The aft cabin has both a single and double berth, both with lee clothes.  Drawers, book shelves and hanging lockers provide ample storage.  There is also an opening hatch to allow quick access from aft cabin to cockpit and helm.

The Yanmar 4-cylendar diesel is easily accessed on three sides by large removable panels, making maintenance and repair work easy.  The engine compartment has thick foam sound proofing and with the engine blower helps keep the engine heat out of the boat.
